Your inq writing set includes one inq pen and smart paper notebook. You'll need to download the inq app in the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

The inq pen does not have a physical power button but uses the pen cap to turn the pen on/off. When you take the pen cap off, the pen turns ON; when you put the pen cap back on, the pen turns OFF. It is that easy!

To save battery, your pen will also go into standby mode when it isn't being used (and the cap is off). To get out of standby mode, either start writing in your inq notebook, or put the cap back on and then take it off again.

If the pen is ON, the LED indicator will light up to indicate the smart pen's status. If the LED indicator does not light up when the pen cap is removed, it probably means that your pen needs to be charged.

The inq smart pen connects with your phone using Bluetooth. Please download our inq app from the App Store or Play Store. When prompted, choose "Connect a pen". Then, follow the instructions in the app to complete the one-time pairing process.

Plug your inq smart pen into a USB power source. It will take a minimum of 2 hours to fully charge your smart pen. Your smart pen provides up to 10 hours of continuous writing time from a full charge and up to 100 days of standby time. When your smart pen is plugged into the USB power source, the LED indicator light on the smart pen will indicate its status:

• Pulsing Orange: Charging
• Steady Green: Fully Charged

Smart pen is blinking red when connected to a charger?

Leave the smart pen plugged into the charger for the battery to be powered up. Do not remove the smart pen from the charger and leave it connected for a minimum of 20-40 mins. Once the battery gets charged, it should power up the smart pen and the smart pen LED will be pulsing orange indicating that it is being charged.

Dot Paper is a specialized paper embedded with nearly invisible microdots that enable smart pens to track writing with pinpoint accuracy. These microdots:

• Allow the pen to recognize the specific page and location of your writing
• Function similarly to a GPS, storing your notes and drawings as digital ink

The microdots are based on patented Anoto technology, consisting of tiny dots arranged on a grid. The dot pattern is unique to each page and ensures the pen's precise tracking. Dot Paper is available in various formats, tailored to your needs.

When you have finished using an inq notebook, you must archive it before using a new inq notebook that has the same type and number.

Archiving an inq notebook does the following:

• Enables you to use a new inq notebook that has the same dot pattern as the one you archived. inq notebooks with the same type and number have the same dot pattern.
• Archiving ensures that you can use a new inq notebook that has the same dot pattern as the one that you archived
• Moves your notes to an archived 

For more details about how to archive, check the respective software application section in this support portal.

Note: Do not archive a notebook unless you are finished using the physical notebook and are ready to set it aside. After you have archived a notebook, do not go back to its physical notebook and start writing on it again, unless you have unused pages and want to treat them as a part of a new notebook.

For example, you could archive a notebook that is partially completed, and then use the remaining pages as a second notebook. If you are using multiple computers to manage your smart pen data, be sure to archive your notebooks on all of these computers.

If you own two inq notebooks with the same group and number (e.g., two Lined Notebook #3s), follow these steps:

• Use one notebook at a time
• Archive the first notebook before starting the second

Example: If you finish Lined Notebook #1 and need to reuse a second Lined Notebook #1, archive the first before starting the new one.

The inq smart pen uses a standard D1 style ink cartridge. Ink cartridges that meet the same size specifications (0.7mm nib, replaceable) and contain carbon-free ink may also be used, though inq does not guarantee the performance of other 3rd party replacement ink cartridges.

You can remove the ink cartridge from the pen by simply pulling out the ink cartridge from the pen. Pull out the ink cartridge with your fingers. For better grip, you may use mini pliers or nail clippers. Make sure you only clip on to the ink and not the pen itself as this will damage the pen. Gently insert the new cartridge into the smart pen until it clicks into place.

No, the inq pen can only sync with the mobile app (iOS/Android). The web app does not support direct pen connections.

You can view your notes, download them in different formats, and access them on any computer.

Yes, all data, notes, and transcriptions must first be transferred to the mobile app. The web app only displays the data that has already been synced with the mobile app.

Simply ensure that your mobile inq app is connected to the internet. Your notes will automatically sync with the web app once the mobile inq app uploads the data.

Yes, the web app is accessible from any computer or device with an internet browser.

Yes, you can download your notes in a variety of formats and save them directly to your computer.

No, currently the web app can only download one page at a time. 

The way to delete your user data from the inq app is as follows:

• Login with the account to delete
• Go to User Profile Icon
• Click on Delete account at to the bottom and click on confirm.

To participate, simply click the Refer & Earn link. Then enter your name and email, and you'll receive a unique referral link that you can share with your friends and family via email, social media, or messaging apps.

For every friend you refer who makes a qualifying purchase, you'll receive a $20 cash reward paid via PayPal.

A qualifying purchase is a friends 1st purchase at inq.shop and must be for $99 or more.

Your friends will receive a 30% discount on their purchase when they use your unique referral link.

No, there's no limit! You can refer as many friends as you'd like. The more friends you refer, the more rewards you earn.

You'll receive an email notification once your friend's purchase is confirmed. You can also track your referrals and rewards in your referral dashboard when you log in to your account.

Our referral program is designed for new customers. You can refer friends who are new to our store and haven't made a purchase before.

To ensure you receive credit for referrals, your friends must use your unique referral link when making their first purchase. They should also use the coupon code tagged to your unique referral link when they make that purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot apply referral rewards retroactively.

We encourage you to share your referral link with your personal network. However, posting your referral link on coupon websites is prohibited and may result in disqualification from the referral program.

You do not need an inq.shop account to place an order online, but may wish to create one for a quicker checkout process. This will also enable you to save as addresses for future use. To update your billing or shipping info, select login (upper right corner of the homepage) and then under primary shipping address select “View Addresses”, then select “Add a New Address” on the next page. If you have any questions regarding your customer account, or are unable to login, please contact our team.

When placing an order using a credit or debit card, you may observe two transactions posting to your account. Your financial institution may place a hold on the funds in your account in the amount of your purchase when an order is authorized, and you will then be charged for the order which will remove the funds from your account. 

You may observe an authorization hold even in cases where a payment attempt is declined. If you have questions or concerns regarding the removal of authorization holds, please contact your financial institution directly. Due to differences in procedures among issuing banks, our team may be limited in our ability to help. However, please contact us if you wish to confirm payment capture and/or order creation.

You can track the status of your order within your profile on the inq.shop website.

You will be charged as soon as your order is placed, and you will receive a confirmation email with a unique order ID. If you do not receive your confirmation within 24 hours, please contact our team.

Orders are only processed and shipped on business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). Any orders placed outside of these times will begin processing the next business day. At this time, we are unable to accept orders from outside of the United States (see shipping policy for additional details).

If you need to cancel and order once it has been placed, please contact our team as quickly as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. Once an order has shipped, our team is unable to cancel it. Upon cancellation, you will be immediately refunded and notified via email.

If you need to alter the shipping address for an existing order, please contact our team as quickly as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. Once an order has shipped, our team is unable to alter the ship to address. Our team will notify you if your request was successfully processed.

Please note: We are only able to make changes to an order’s shipping address and are unable to edit billing addresses for existing orders. If you wish to make an alteration to your billing address for future orders, please do so by logging into your inq.shop customer account.
